Schmooze Inc. cannot be liable for weather related acts on your terminal. Protect your terminal by the doing the following:

• Surge Protector

  - Plug your terminal directly into a surge protector along with your phone line. Credit Card Terminals are extremely sensitive to power surges. Surges can occur anytime (not just during a storm) and could potentially damage the modem in your terminal.

Additional measures to take to ensure a properly working terminal:

• Cleaning

  - Properly cleaning your terminal on a daily basis adds life to your terminal. Depending on the type of business you are, we do offer protective plastic coverings for your terminal and also alcohol card swipes to ensure that your card swipe stays clean. All you have to do is ask, and we will provide you with the means to ensure a properly clean and working terminal.

If you purchased a terminal from us, your one year warranty (from the day of install) does not include any acts of nature (aka weather related issues). If your terminal is damaged you will be responsible for the repairs to your terminal. In any event, schmooze inc. will either loan or replace your terminal within 24 - 48 hours (all depending on location and day of week).
